Marisse Gaskell
Marisse Gaskell is a yoga teacher in London and she is is British-Filipina. Marisse was born and raised in Devon and you can read Marisse’s poignant account of growing up biracial in rural England here.
Marisse trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles in India and she is also qualified in Yin Yoga. Many of Marisse’s beautiful insta shots are taken in Devon because she loves to keep the countryside with her.

My favourite yoga pose
Changes all the time but at the moment it’s Utthita Trikonasana/Extended Triangle Pose as it’s a pose I can be ‘still’, feel amazing in my body, yet where I can still call out my ego and exercise agency.⠀
